Geraldine (Gardening Grandma), a commissioned doll representing an actual person.   An original design, Geraldine is made from dyed muslin.  She has inset eyes, and her face employs a cloth-over-cloth technique.  Hair is mohair, needle-felted in place.  Her fingers are wired.  Her shoes are made of ultrasuede.  SOLD

Cecelia prototype (left) was designed in a design-your-own doll class taught by Judi ward for the Reigning Dolls & Bears club.  The pattern doll (right) was featured in the March, 2005 issue of Soft Dolls & Animals magazine.  Cecelia is approximately 12 inches tall and is made from a knit fabric like robe velour or doesuede.  She has a flat face with a little needle sculpting.  Clothing is removable.  Both dolls are SOLD

Another Amity doll, made from Springmaid Southern Belle muslin.  Hair is made from thick wool yarn, twisted and hand-sewn into place.  Approximately 21 inches tall.   Face is lightly sculpted, features applied with colored pencils and a little acrylic paint.  For more photos, click on the thumbnail then scroll down to the photos at the bottom of the Amity page.  This doll is SOLD.   Pattern Available

Bartholomew was a challenge doll for the RD&B doll club.  Members were given a section of dowel with a knob on one end.  The challenge was to use this to make a doll.  Bartholomew's face is sculpted Paperclay, painted in acrylics.  His body is cloth.  Click on the thumbnail to see photos of club members' dolls.

Serafina is a stump doll that stands about 14-15 inches tall.  She's designed to be made from woven (muslin) or knit (Doesuede, velour) fabric.   This pattern has 12 pages of instructions and illustrations, and features two styles of hands, DIY wings, and an optional cloth-over face technique.  This doll is for sale: SOLD

Serafina, in blue.  She also stands about 14-15 inches tall.  Made of muslin, her face uses a cloth-over-cloth technique.  Serafina is a stump doll (she has no legs), and sports hand-made wings.  Her hair is wool roving.  Her hands have sewn finger divisions.
