Vivienne, Steampunk style doll made in a class by Michele Lynch, AFICC 2013. She's made from Apoxie Sculpt, painted. She's about 17-18 inches tall (depending on if you include her wine cork hat.

Muse doll made in a class at Camp Doll U in Issaquah, Washington. Teachers were Sherry Goshon and Jean Bernard. Base is made of Apoxie Sculpt. Doll stands about 25 inches tall.  Face is paperclay, painted. Hair is upholstery trim. Doll body is made of craft velour, with fancy tissue paper decoupaged onto it and embellished.  presby6.jpg (102267 bytes)

Emmaline, reproduction Presbyterian doll, pattern by Lucinda Durbin ("Presbylla Catherine"). This doll is made from muslin and stands 17 inches tall. The head, neck and arms were painted with multiple layers of Messy Mix (1/2 gel medium, 1/2 modeling paste), then gesso, acrylic paint, crackled and aged. Clothing is removable (my own design).

Spring, made in Sherry Goshon's class at Camp Doll U in Issaquah, Washington. Spring has a polymer clay mask, covered with cloth, then painted. Body is wrapped wire armature.  Hair is upholstery trim.  SOLD

Glitz is made from the same Mary Tressler pattern as Athena, and stands about 14 inches tall with her stand. She's made of doesuede and has wired fingers. Her face is sculpted and painted, with colored pencil shading.

Vesta is made from a pattern by Lee Menconi Steiger. She's a small doll with jointed shoulders and hips. I chose to make her from a pale green woven fabric. Her hair is mohair locks. Her face is colored with acrylic paint, colored pencils and Micron Pigma Pens.  SOLD

Maura, made from Mary Tressler's Spring Challenge pattern. Dolls made for this challenge could only be clothed in flowers, and "rain" had to be included. Maura is about 13 inches long (including her fins) and is made from Doesuede. Her face is needle-sculpted. Her fingers are wired so they can be posed. This is HAPP The Aromatherapy Doll, designed by Jessica Kennady. I received this wonderful pattern and supply kit as a gift from Jessica.  Filled with apple-cinnamon sachet, this doll also feels nice in the hand. Hair is a wonderful green and purple fiber. Body is a nice stretchy velvet-like fabric. Head is velour. Natalie - In June of 2002 I took an on-line class through Crafty College, taught by Kathy Hays.  Her "Primrose" class featured wet felting techniques, which are seen in the doll's hat, jacket and purse. Natalie's head and hands are made of dyed muslin. Queen Elizabeth, from Antonette Cely's pattern "Elizabeth R (and Young Bess)." Made of muslin, this doll was completed in September 2000, lacking only her headdress, which was added March, 2003Elizabeth was made by request for a friend, whose aunt was a British actress that often portrayed the Queen. This is Forest Angel, made from JoAnn Pinto's "Angel" pattern. Her hair is hand-dyed mohair from Linden Lane Farms. This doll won a blue ribbon at the Clatsop County Fair in 2002.  SOLD

This is Sophie, made from Judi Ward's "Whatever! Whatever!" pattern.  Sophie stands about 23 inches tall (to the top of her head) and was made to be a little plumper than Ivy.  This was achieved by changing the stretch direction of the fabric (robe velour in this case).  Her hair is mohair, is fully jointed and has real eyelashes.  She is able to stand alone with a little balancing.

This is a group photo from Meo Feroy's Funky Fred class held at Judi Ward's home (March, 2000). My Fred is wearing the tan pants. I really enjoyed seeing how different they all turned out, despite using the same pattern. Each had a distinct personality.

This is Ivy, made in Judi Ward's "Whatever! Whatever!" class, November, 1999. About 23.5 inches tall, she is able to stand alone with some balancing. She is made of Doesuede fabric, has wired fingers and jointed arms, legs and head.  Her hair is wefted mohair. She has a sculpted and painted face with real eyelashes. I named this doll Rose. She is one of the "Sewing Sisters" by Ruth Kuykendall Landis (On the Edge Designs). She has a trepunto nose, broomstick skirt and polymer clay glasses. This was a fun and easy pattern.  SOLD
